Here’s my bio:
Stephanie Alison Walker is an award-winning playwright whose work has been produced across the United States from New York City to Los Angeles and internationally in Australia, Singapore, The Philippines and Japan. She is the winner of the 2008 South Florida Theatre Festival Audience Favorite Grand Prize for The Women’s Theatre Project production of her play Three Fittings, a finalist for the prestigious Princess Grace Playwriting Award 2008 for The Art of Disappearing, and a semi-finalist for the 2009 HotCity Greenhouse Festival of New Plays in St. Louis.
In print, her play The Chocolate Affair is published in Ten 10-Minute Plays (Black Box Press) and Hollywood Hills is published in Best Ten Minute Plays 2008: 2 Actors (Smith & Kraus). On screen her play Back Roads (which was part of the 2007 “10 by 10 in the Triangle”) was turned into a short film that premiered at the 2008 Women’s Int’l Film Festival in Miami.
Stephanie is a graduate of USC’s Master of Professional Writing Program, is a proud member of Lizard Claw Playwrights and the Dramatists Guild of America and is the creator of the blog “Love in the Time of Foreclosure” – featured on NPR’s Planet Money, Business Week Magazine, Chicago Magazine and The Huffington Post.
